Lone wolf

         he didn’t want to let go; he was so scared that if he did, it’ll fade away in front of
         him. more often than not; he believed the blond wouldn’t ever return. a thought
         that scared him more than anything. he knew death would be ringing on his
         doorbell, but he couldn’t bare the thought of the other dying alone. one major
         fear of the knights; & maybe, that’s why he was so relieved to see the warrior
         alive & in good condition.

            ’ you’re telling me.. i thought you were left to be food for vultures.. at least give
              me a heads up when you’re leaving next time… okay? i was worried sick. i
              thought you left me for good. ‘

                 “I know————- I’m sorry for disappearing on you like that.
I’d never leave you, not for good or anything.    There was just something I had to do, someone I had to see.”

       It was his own fault for not talking about it but really;

how was Cloud ever supposed to say that he was visiting the place that someone close to him had taken their last breath.    He still struggled so much with Aerith’s death, and Zack’s death too, still partly blaming himself though he’d been given the forgiveness he wanted——— It was so depressing, he didn’t want to put that on Link too, God help him if he lost the knight as well.         Cloud wasn’t sure if he could handle another loss like that. His body was strong;       but his heart, mind, and soul were all damaged beyond repair.

                      “It’ll take a lot more than this world can dish out to take me down.”
